Starting the Server

You need to specify the Station Callsign and License before starting the servers. These entries are used when the Start or Stop/Exit buttons are pressed.
To start the software GUI from the command line, enter:
(Windows) runRadioRemote.bat
(Linux) ./RadioRemoteServer.py
To stop the GUI, click the Stop/Exit button near the top of the GUI.
When you first start the RadioRemoteServer software the actual servers are Not Running. At this time you can change setup and the User Access List.
To start the servers, click the "Start" button.
To stop the servers, click the "Stop/Exit" button.
The server GUI has three display tabs - Setup, Status and Users

The Setup tab shows the primary configuration items set to their normal default values. Normally, the default values will work.

Setup Tab

The Status tab has a text window that reports status and various events. It also displays a QR code that links to the server's start page. This would be the entry point a cell phone connected to the same local network would scan to access the start page, verify acceptance of the server's SSL certificate and start RadioRemote on a phone.

Status Tab

The Users tab shows the list of who can access the radio. Users can be added or deleted. Users can have an assigned role of either SWL (short wave listener with no transmit privileges), ControlOp (all privileges), Operator (all privileges using station callsign), Monitor (listener only no control capability).

The customary default entry of user = guest with password = guest with SWL privilege can be changed.
